JEWELL Engineering employee recognized as Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)

JEWELL Engineering Consultants is pleased to announce that Cindy Lancaster, a Water Resources Engineer on our staff, was recently recognized as a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) by the North Carolina Association of Floodplain Managers (NCAFPM). NCAFPM certifies qualified individuals as part of a program to help reduce the state’s flood losses and protect and enhance the natural resources and functions of its floodplains. Their goal is to improve the knowledge and abilities of floodplain managers in North Carolina. The certification process requires a demonstration of knowledge and understanding of the National Floodplain Insurance Program through a rigorous written examination, and participation in ongoing continuing education training related to floodplain management.
