JEWELL Engineering Consultants sponsored a 3-day HEC-RAS workshop at Haw River State Park near Brown Summit, North Carolina. |

| Ray Walton, Ph.D., D. WRE, M.ASCE from West Engineering Consultants, Bellevue, WA (Nationally recognized HEC-RAS Instructor) presented and instructed several HEC-RAS topics during the week such as: Input Data Requirements, Basic Hydraulic Model Development, Modeling Tributaries and Junctions, Creating Plans, Bridges, Culverts and Modeling Multiple Bridge and/or Culvert openings, Floodway Determination, Floodway Encroachment and an Overview of HEC-RAS Capabilities. The Workshop was held from October 31 through November 2, 2006. Participants included local governmental representatives and consultants from as far away as Raleigh and Asheville, NC. Those in attendance expressed excellent reviews of the course/workshop. | ||
